Privacy Policy
Last updated:
Sortlock is built offline-first: the core gameplay needs no account and sends none of your data. This policy explains what data may be processed when you use the optional online features.
1. Who we are
Sortlock (the "Game", "we") is developed by Shurco. The game lives at sortlock.shurco.info. For privacy questions, email sortlock@shurco.info.
2. What data we process
2.1. On-device data
Your game progress, statistics, streaks and settings are stored locally on your device (the system preferences storage). We do not access them or upload them to any server without an action from you.
2.2. Optional online features
When you use the daily board, Echo duels or progress sync, we may process:
- an anonymous device/session identifier (to match your result with an "echo");
- a replay of your moves on the daily board (move and reveal timings) for asynchronous duels;
- a nickname — only if you choose to provide one;
- your level result (move count, time) for leaderboards and the spoiler-free card.
2.3. Diagnostics and analytics
We may collect aggregated event analytics (for example, tutorial completion or difficulty spikes) and crash reports to improve the game. This data is not used to identify you personally.
2.4. Ads and purchases
If a build includes rewarded ads or purchases, they are handled by dedicated services (for example, an ad network and App Store / Google Play Billing) under their own policies. We do not store your payment card details.
We do not sell your personal data.
3. Why we do it
- to run the daily board, duels and sync;
- to save and restore your progress;
- to find and fix bugs and improve the difficulty balance;
- to show ads (where present) and process purchases.
4. Who we share data with
Only with infrastructure providers required for the features listed above (hosting for the online backend, a crash-reporting service, the store ad/payment platform). We do not share data for their own independent marketing.
5. Retention and security
Data is kept no longer than needed for the feature it was collected for. Transfers between the app and our servers are protected with transport-layer encryption (HTTPS/TLS). Fully offline data stays on your device only.
6. Your rights
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your online data. You delete local data yourself — by removing the game or resetting progress in settings. Step-by-step instructions are on the Support → Delete my data page.
7. Children and the 13+ audience
The game is intended for a 13+ audience. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. The design follows ethical practices: no dark patterns, fair odds for every level set, and streaks you can pause rather than "lose". If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, email sortlock@shurco.info and we will delete it.
8. International transfers
Provider servers may be located in other countries. By using the online features you agree that your data may be transferred outside your country, with reasonable safeguards applied.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date at the top of the page and, where appropriate, by an in-game notice.
